Innovation to Impact (I2I) at Yale

The application deadline for I2I, a fantastic, no-cost education, and enrichment opportunity, has been extended to June 30!

The Innovation to Impact (I2I) at Yale program provides entrepreneurial education, mentoring, and seed funding to scientists, researchers, academics, and students who have developed innovative solutions to improve the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of substance use disorders.

Why apply to I2I?

1.     Be a part of the solution:

Over 20 million people in the U.S identify with having Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Costs resulting from loss of productivity, disability, unemployment, healthcare, and criminal justice are estimated to be in the billions.

2.    Join the Community:

  • I2I participation has increased participants’ ability to secure funding and access to experienced entrepreneurs.
  • 11 Small Business Innovation Research Grants were secured by Cohorts 1 and 2, a significant and validating step towards the commercialization of their solutions.
  • 8 I2I alumni have received I2I Innovation Grants.
  • Successful entrepreneurs in the SUD field participate in the program and share their knowledge and expertise with the fellows.

 3.   Learn and hear from the experts:

  • Founders from  WorkItHealth and Dynamicare, etc.
  • FDA experts and NIDA representatives
  • Yale faculty and successful entrepreneurs such as Dr. Seth Fuererstein, Dr. Greg Licholai, Kyle Jensen

 4.    Receive mentoring:

  • One-on-one with experienced entrepreneurs
  • Peer mentoring from other academics solving the same problems

5.   There are no costs, except your time:

  • The program is sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse and covers all program costs for participants, including travel costs for in-person events.
