This course takes the best of Silicon Valley entrepreneurship education and applies it to life science/healthcare ventures. It is about starting and growing new life science/healthcare ventures that have the potential to scale to a significant enterprise that can impact human healthcare. Startup 101 focuses on the specific characteristics and challenges of a life science/healthcare venture as distinguished from Tech. We include all types of products and services -- therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, research tools and digital health.
You will learn how to assess a concept or product in the framework of a business opportunity, how to build a business plan and the investor pitch deck from experts in the field. Get the answers to questions like: Who is my customer? Do I have a business model? How does the FDA work? How do I get capital? The series also introduces you to startup entrepreneurs, serial entrepreneurs, angel investors, venture capitalists and other members of the ecosystem.
